Where do you meet and what time are your services?

All-Family Gathering

Every other Sunday we gather together as a community of missionaries and microchurches to come around tables, worship, study the person and work of Jesus, share stories and celebrate God's goodness. While our all-family gatherings often include traditional corporate worship gathering elements like music, teaching and communion, this is a highly communal time in which all are invited to actively share and participate.

Our all-family gathering begins at 4:30pm and is followed by a shared meal together. Childcare is available during this time and in September of 2022 we will be launching Commonwealth Kids ministry for K-5.

Microchurches

A microchurch is a committed group of Jesus followers, roughly the size of an extended family, empowered by the Spirit, to participate in God’s mission of redemption in a particular neighborhood and/or network of relationships. Due to their size, accessibility, focus and flexibility, we believe microchurches are the space most conducive to discipleship. Perhaps not surprisingly then, they are a big deal to us and are our primary organizing structure as a community (of communities) of faith.

Our microchurches meet throughout the month in homes, breweries, parks, restaurants, carports and backyards. The meeting times, locations and rhythms for each microchurch vary and is determined by its members. Most meet at least every other week as an MC core for prayer, biblical engagement, table fellowship and peer to peer discipleship. In addition to meeting as a core, all of our MCs are also involved in stepping into various needs in our city and together creating safe spaces for others to experience Jesus-centered community.

As Commonwealth grows and as the Spirit leads, our dream is to see micro-churches planted throughout our city in the years to come.
