Matthew 4:23 says that Jesus travelled throughout the region “proclaiming the good news of the kingdom”. What follows is the most revolutionary teaching ever recorded. Matthew 5-7 is often referred to as Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and arguably no other teaching has had a greater impact on the world. From Mahatma Gandhi to Martin Luther King Jr, movement-makers and revolutionaries have pointed to this sermon as a radical way of life that would put an end to all injustice and misery in the world.
