Together for the common good.
WHO WE ARE
Commonwealth is a family of missionaries and microchurches who gather in various expressions of Christ-centered community throughout Knoxville, TN. Together we seek to multiply missionaries, microchurches, and ministries in order to make disciples who are committed to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do the kinds of things Jesus did.
OUR ENVIRONMENTS
Our world is rapidly changing. As a result, the church is failing to connect with the lives, passions, and longings of a growing number of people. As followers of Jesus, we believe that our loyalty to the mission of God supersedes any particular expression of church. Therefore, we create a variety of alternative spaces for people to encounter the love of Jesus, grow in discipleship to Jesus, and join Jesus in the work that he is doing around them.
-
ALL-FAMILY
Twice a month we gather together on Sunday afternoons as a church family to sit at the feet of Jesus, worship, tell stories, dive deep into the scriptures, share a meal, and remind one another of what matters most.
-
MICROCHURCHES
A microchurch is a committed group of Jesus followers, roughly the size of an extended family, who together participate in God’s mission of redemption in a particular neighborhood and/or network of relationships.
-
MISSIONAL COHORT
The Missonal Cohort is a four-month journey exploring God’s ongoing mission in the world, Jesus’ design for his church, the disconnect in our cultural moment, and a hopeful vision for moving forward together.
-
CALLING LAB
Calling Lab is designed to help followers of Jesus explore how God has uniquely wired, gifted, and prepared them to join Him in His unfolding Kingdom work in our city and world.
